Cast peanuts were made using a mold, and then were attached to the body of planter.

This plaster mold was made for slip casting peanut shapes out of different clay bodies. Made from real peanuts.

Following the planet series, these 'planet' planters were made by slipcasting porcelain and finishing them in various glazes. I made them as center pieces for my wedding, which was held in an observatory/planetarium, when I married my astronomer husband.
